The Prophet Bar
Deep Ellum was born, died, and has been resurrected many times. The Prophet Bar was instrumental in the resurrection of Deep Ellum which became the cool art and music scene in the early 1980s. In the late 1990s, greedy real estate owners and opportunists turned Deep Ellum into a tacky carnival. It needed to die. Finally, Deep Ellum is resurrecting once again with the elements that have always stood the test of time. Inspired Live Music, Raw Inspiration, and Real People.
The Loft
The Loft is a part of the Gilley’s Dallas entertainment complex just south of the Dallas Convention Center on S Lamar St in downtown Dallas. A fantastic looking venue, The Loft is a supremely intimate setting for any concert and features an expansive patio with seating for dozens, cabana-style couches and an award-winning view of the Dallas skyline.
South Side Music Hall
South Side Music Hall is adjacent to The Loft and The Palladium Ballroom in the Gilley’s Dallas entertainment complex. The most recent music venue to be added to the complex, South Side Music Hall has hosted only a few dozen concerts under its new identity, but several of those events were notably high-profile or historic, including the first Guided-By-Voices reunion show in 25 years and one of the first New Pornographers concerts featuring the original lineup in almost 12 years.
